Soybean-casein digest medium supports the growth of a variety of microorganisms. Premeasured packs save time in the lab. Simply add the contents of one dehydrated media pack to one liter of water, bring to a boil and sterilize to make enough media for 40 to 50 plates.

These DNA markers are used to determine size of unknown DNA fragments. If using within 2–3 days, they do not need to be refrigerated and can be stored right on a shelf. If storing for longer time periods, freezing is recommended.
