New York State Regents Package #3: Constructing and Analyzing an Asteroid’s Elliptical Orbit Package
The New York State Regents Examination in Physical Setting/Earth Science (Part D) consists of two components: a laboratory performance test and a written test. The performance test features three different stations of hands-on activities. Using the New York State Education Department guidelines for the 2009 Performance Test (Part D), Ward’s created cost-effective, convenient kits with everything you need to prepare for administering the test at each station. Students can create and examine the elliptical orbit of asteroids with Ward’s Station #3 Kit including a spool of cotton string, six sheets of cardboard, box of 100 push pins, six plastic storage boxes, six metric rulers, and six calculators — enough materials for six station setups. Call 800-962-2660 for a more detailed list of contents.
