This pH meter is seriously thin and light with lab grade functionality packed into a tablet design. With simple operation and advanced features, edge pH easily outperforms all other portables and benchtops in its class. Advanced pH electrode diagnostics ensure worry-free measurements. Use this pH meter as a portable, benchtop meter, or mount it on the wall to save space.
Eliminate the need for glassware and provide a semi-micro environment for conducting many experiments with this clear tray about the size of an index card. You can use Chemplates instead of test tubes, as a demonstration vessel for your overhead projector, for individual student experiments, or even as a gas generator or water reservoir. Twelve large numbered cavities are molded into the high-impact plastic. In addition, each plate has a jumbo-sized cavity and a snap-off measuring spatula. Gas collecting tubes, available separately, fit the Chemplate caps. Package of ten.
This chemical test kit measures six parameters common in water quality testing: alkalinity, chloride, hardness, iron, pH, and sulfite. This kit is equipped with all the necessary reagents and equipment to perform over 100 tests for each parameter, with the exception of iron, which includes reagents for 50 tests. pH is obtained with one of Hanna's pH electronic testers, which guarantees greater accuracy and a longer life than traditional litmus paper.
Mounted on molded plastic base, the unit consists of a base into the top of which may be screwed one of a set of four vases of differing shapes. An aperture in the bottom has a thin rubber diaphragm across it, bearing upon the short arm of the lever pointer. A moveable index on the vertical rod enables the height of water in vases to be set at same level. The apparatus is mounted on moulded plastic base that measures 25 x 17.5cm. The experiment is performed by screwing in each vase, in turn, and filling with water to the same level. It will be seen that the given height of water will result in the same deflection of pointer whatever shape of the vase.
The mechanics kit for whiteboard demonstrations includes more than 25 large, colored, and easily distinguished components stored in a case with foam inlay. More than 30 experiments can be set up in rapid time. Large components ensure that experiments can be viewed from a distance. Secure attachment is guaranteed by high-grade AlNiCo magnets, allowing quick and easy configuration of experiments. Measuring units, vector diagrams, and explanations can be provided right next to the experimental configuration on the blackboard.
Helmholtz coils are used to produce a homogeneous magnetic field. Experiments on induction and electron deflection can be performed with the Rotary Frame with Flat Coil and the Fine Beam Tube. The coils can be used in parallel or in series and feature a spring clip on the cross bar to mount a Hall Sensor for measurements of the magnetic field. The maximum field strength generated by the coils (~ 4 mT) is approximately 750 times weaker than that produced by an MRI machine (~ 3T), which are known to be safe for use by people with medical implants such as pacemakers.
This three-in-one meter allows you, at the flick of a switch, to check soil pH, find out how much light a plant is receiving, and check to make sure your plants have enough water.
This multiparametrer tester is an easy-to-use and accurate waterproof pH, conductivity, TDS (ppm) tester. It measures pH, EC in the low range (0 to 3999 µS/cm), TDS (0 to 2000 ppm), and temperature. This floating, waterproof combination pocket tester has an easy to read, LCD and an automatic shut-off.
Ward's® 1100 Visible spectrophotometer is perfectly designed for high school and college students completing general analysis and experiments such as Beer-Lambert, Absorption Spectrum, Transmittance, Chlorophyll, protein (biuret test) and more. An included visible wavelength spectrum chart on the instrument panel allows the user to make the correlation between a wavelength number to an actual color on the visible light spectrum. The built-in secondary filters reduce stray light and increase precision. The design is "Student-Proofed" making this a durable unit for years of use. Large digital display makes reading much easier and the new USB interface allows for the collection of data via a computer. This spectrophotometer is designed for use with 1/2" (13 mm) round tubes or 10 mm square cuvettes. an adapter is supplied at no additional charge for 10mm square cuvettes. High quality silicon photodiode detector and 1200 lines/mm grating assures high performance. Auto zero function, one-touch blanking and built-in automatic filters for easy operation. Large digital display allows for quick and easy readings. Optional Windows(R) based software for easy data collection and application expansion to Standard Curve and Kinetics, Abs. and %T is available. Data can be easily exported to Microsoft Excel(R) for further processing and analysis. The software is designed for Windows based PCs, using Windows 2000, ME, or XP. Model 1100 measures Absorbance, Transmittance and now includes a USB port.
