Incandescent Lights, Lamps and Bulbs
The incandescent lamps heat and pass electricity through a wire filament within glass or quartz bulbs to produce illumination. Since the process requires generating heat, appliances exploit the high temperatures that incandescent lamps cast for drying purposes. Working well with alternating and direct currents, the common lighting form is used in workplaces and private homes. Bulbs are offered in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit any appliance.
