Grows on dead tissues. Novobiocin resistant (S. epidermidis and S. aureus novobiocin sensitive). 

Isolated from human nasopharynx. Presumably not related to N. sicca; some relation to N. gonorrhoeae. Often agglutinates in saline. 

Produces streptomycin. Branching mycelium and coenocytic hyphae. 

Isolated from human saliva, sputum, and intestine. No Lancefield group shown, alpha hemolysis.

Produces orange pigments. 

The presence of A. viscolactis in milk is a common cause for sliminess or "ropiness".

Normal flora of respiratory tract. Beta-lactamase positive. Also known by the name Branhamella catarrhalis

Nitrogen fixation, produces nodules on legume roots. Bacteroids from nodules can be X, Y, and club shapes.

This yellow, shiny organism is known to cause wound infections and more famously, toxic shock syndrome.

This organism is commonly isolated from soil, and depending upon the temperature of its environment, can produce a distinctive red pigment.

Found on dental plaque, implicated in cavities. No Lancefield group shown, gamma hemolysis. 

This pathogenic organism is sometimes isolated from hay and grass.
