"Vernier Accessories"
Vernier® Digital Sensor Extension Cable
The Digital Sensor Extension Cable can be used with any Vernier sensor that connects to a digital channel of one of our interfaces. The port will be labeled DIG1 or DIG2.
Vernier® AC Adapter
This is a 6 volt, DC, tip-negative power supply for use with Vernier LabPro, CBL 2, Digital Control Unit, and Wireless Dynamics Sensor System.
KidWind® Dowels
These dowels are used for designing and testing wind turbine blades and fit into the Wind Turbine Hub.
Vernier® Motion Detector Clamp
The Motion Detector Clamp screws into the back of the Motion Detector, and then can be clamped to a variety of objects such as table tops, ring stands, etc.
Vernier® Heart Rate Hand Grips
You can use our Heart Rate Hand Grips in conjunction with the Polar Transmitter Module. This option eliminates the need for a chest belt and allows students to measure their heart rate from the palm of their hands.
Vernier® Lanyard
The lanyard works as a LabQuest neck strap to prevent accidental drops while doing field studies. It can also be attached to a calculator cradle and used with a LabPro or CBL 2.
Vernier® Spirometer Flow Head
An extra flow head eliminates the need for equipment downtime while sterilizing an original flow head. The flow head consists of a polycarbonate outer body with a stainless-steel inner mesh.
KidWind® Tower and Base Set
Need a tower for your turbine nacelle? This is the same tower that comes in the Basic Wind Experiment Kit and the Advanced Wind Experiment Kit. The wooden tower has a diameter that fits inside 1-inch PVC fittings.
Vernier® Variable Load
With the Vernier Variable load, students can adjust the potentiometer to provide resistances between 6 and 255 Ω, allowing them to determine the optimal load on a system.
Vernier® Air Track Adapter
Allows the Dual-Range Force Sensor to be mounted on the end of an air track for collision studies. Compatible with most air tracks distributed or made by PASCO scientific, Central Scientific, or Daedalon Corporation. Includes two magnetic bumpers.
Vernier® Analog Breadboard Cable
The Breadboard Cable (Analog) provides an easy way for students to build their own sensor circuitry and input the signal into a Vernier interface for data acquisition.
KidWind® Chipboard Sheets
Chipboard is a stiff, easy to cut, lightweight, low cost, and recyclable material used to make simple wind turbine blades.
KidWind® Nacelle
Build a complete turbine by making your own tower and base with PVC pipe (from a hardware store) or use the KidWind Tower and Base Set. You will also need a generator and a way to affix the turbine blades. We recommend using the KidWind Wind Turbine Generator with Wires and a KidWind Hub.
