Great for teaching that density depends of both mass and volume, students can't seem to put these spheres down! Two steel spheres are great for teaching the skills of observation and deduction.

Perfect for density experiments, use this set determine the mass and volume of each sample and graph the mass versus volume. The slope of the straight line that results is the density of the material.

What happens when you place a separator sheet between a column of red-colored warm water on top of blue-colroed warm water and slowly slide the separator out? What happens if the cold water is on the top and the warm water is on the bottom? Use this lab to find out the answers to these questions and determine if density is an intrinsic or extrinsic property of matter.
