Three Morphology Types in One Tube

One each of foliose, crustose, and fruticose lichen. The foliose and crustose lichens are any of a wide variety of species; the fruticose lichen is either cladonia or reindeer moss. All samples are field-collected and come in a 4 oz. labeled jar.

This organism is commonly isolated from soil or water, and produces a pink or rose colored pigment.

Deuteromycete. Produces penicillin. Incubation temperature 25°C. Malt extract agar growth medium.

Nymphoides aquatica. Dicot. The green tubercles that grow from this unique plant’s short roots store nutrients and look like bananas, giving the plant its common name. It is a floating plant that grows best in shallow water. It is easily reproduced from cuttings. Size: 4–6". Package of six.
