The linear air track (not included) provides a nearly frictionless surface with which one can study a multitude of physical processes in ideal conditions.

The air track gliders float on a cushion of air pushed out through small holes in the top of the air track. Using the many included accessories in this kit, experiments can be performed exploring conservation of energy, conservation of momentum, elastic and inelastic collisions, Newton's second law, among many other topics.
