Enlist your students in the green revolution with the knowledge and experience gained through this kit. Students will use their understanding of chemistry and chemistry techniques to convert ordinary waste cooking oil into diesel fuel. Both titration and functional groups are addressed in this real-life application. The final products are nontoxic and biodegradable, and the cleaned, dry biodiesel product is road ready for any diesel powered vehicle.
Developed by teacher, Pam Temons, the activity includes instructions and materials for 10 setups.
