Glass Lenses

Provide a convenient way to illustrate the properties of lenses to students.

• Ground edges

These lenses are made of polished glass and have ground edges. The bi-concave lens is used for spreading out or reducing light; it has two inward-curving, symmetrical faces. Bi-convex lenses are used as magnifying or condensing lenses, with two outward curving symmetrical faces.
