One Electric Vehicle can be built from this kit and features components hand selected and a build guide written by the Science Olympiad Organization. The 2026 - 2027 Science Olympiad kits were developed to provide an introduction to each event and are not intended to be an 'out of the box solution' for competition. Students and competitors should practice innovation and creativity to make their design their own competition-ready device.

Ordering information: Science Olympiad designed this kit to provide a starting point for building an Electric Vehicle while leaving room for team innovation. Because teams may choose different rule-compliant ways to reverse their vehicles, this kit does not include parts for any one reversing system though two options are suggested. Teams should review the kit instructions and the event rules as they plan and build their solution.
