This research-based online professional development course is designed to help high school physics educators enhance their safety knowledge and skills in the physics laboratory. It covers topics such as risk assessment, hazard identification, accident prevention, emergency response, and legal and ethical issues. It also provides participants with practical examples, demonstrations, and resources to implement safety best practices in their own classrooms. It is based on the guidelines and recommendations from OSHA, NSTA, the American Association of Physics Teachers, and the American Physical Society.
