Tropical and marine fish thrive best at stable temperatures. Classroom temperatures can fluctuate based on the season, tank placement, or attendance levels. If fish get sick, some treatments require an overall tank temperature change. Tank temperature is best maintained with a heater, and a thermometer allows users to confirm heater settings and identify when there may be a problem with the heater.
