Construction: The compression unit is crafted from ABS molded plastic, ensuring durability and lightweight handling. A molded circular base provides stability, while a top-mounted handle applies even compression. Once preset pressure is reached, the auto-disengagement feature ensures consistent force is applied for each measurement.

Working Principle: Moisture is determined by measuring the electrical resistance of grains, which varies with moisture content. Pre-programmed calibration tables in the microcontroller convert these resistance values into precise moisture percentages. The PT-100 sensor provides automatic temperature compensation, and the inbuilt humidity sensor ensures users can account for environmental humidity during testing.

Operation: Fill the 13 cc volume cup with grain and transfer to the test chamber. Compress using the handle until the automatic disengagement activates. Press the read switch: the LCD displays moisture percentage along with temperature and ambient humidity. Results can be saved internally (up to 200 readings), printed via RS-232, or transferred via Bluetooth to the mobile app for record-keeping and sharing.
