Topotown: Turn a Topographic Map into a 3-D Model Kit

Topotown gives students the chance to build a 3-D model of a town with hills, valleys, lakes, rivers or streams, highways, streets, houses, barns, stores, and schools.

The only limits on their town is their own imagination.
Once the model is complete, they create a topographical map of the town. They learn about the accepted symbols, colors, scales, and contour line 'rules'.

Includes Wikki Stix (10 pkgs.), multi-color plastic buildings, pads of blank map templates, patterns for terrain three different terrain features, construction paper, kidney beans, glue, and instructions. Developed by David Masters. Enough materials to build 15 towns.
