Students develop a table with elements known to Mendeleev. Once they set up the table, they can use what they have learned to predict the characteristics of missing cookies. This activity introduces the relationships between patterns, classification, and periodicity. Developed by Jimmy Schroeder.

Ordering information: Materials include a manipulative unique set of 35 laminated cookies- share characteristics so they can be arranged into groups and sorted, a 3 meter roll of self-adhesive, and magnetic tape.
