The observation of bacteria from peppercorn and mung bean infusions gives students an appreciation for the presence of bacteria in our environment, as well as an understanding of the methods used by the early microbiologists to culture and observe bacteria. They also learn about the basic differences between Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. It includes materials for 15 setups, teacher’s guide, and student copymaster.
