This oversized apparatus is suitable for demonstrations in large classrooms, so all students can observe. Apply weights and note the spring elongations along the graduated scale. An acrylic glass cylinder, filled with oil or water, is used for study damping. The friction ratio can also be varied through changing discs. Excitation frequency is displayed on the LCD panel.
