The interaction between antigens and antibodies is vital to all aspects of immunology, and this handy activity clearly demonstrates that relationship. Students employ the Ouchterlony Procedure to demonstrate the formation of an antigen-antibody complex through passive diffusion, resulting in an easily observed precipitate in the diffusion medium.
