Five of the models show a fetus at different times during the gestation period. Models one through three each correspond to the first three months of pregnancy, model four depicts the fetus in the fourth to fifth month, and model eight presents a seven-month-old fetus. Model five shows the fetus in a breech position, model six shows the fetus on its back, and model seven depicts twin five-month-old fetuses in utero.

In addition, models four through eight feature removable fetuses for a closer examination of the anatomical features that have developed. The one, two, and three-piece models are mounted on individual stands.
