  • Refractive index almost identical to optical glass
  • Polished on all sides

High quality equilateral prisms are chip- and shatter-resistant, while having a refractive index very close to optical glass. They can produce a rainbow from a non-monochromatic light source such as sunlight. Acrylic is a softer material, so handle with care to prevent scratching.
