HOBO® Waterproof Shuttle

The HOBO® waterproof shuttle provides convenient readout and relaunching of underwater and outdoor HOBO data loggers with an Optic USB interface, and is waterproof to 20 m (66'). This shuttle can also be used as a base station.

The HOBO Waterproof Shuttle (U-DTW-1) is engineered for efficient field data management of HOBO U-Series data loggers in rugged aquatic and outdoor environments. Beyond basic data offload, the waterproof shuttle acts as a mobile data hub, locally storing multiple logger readouts in its internal non-volatile memory, preserving critical data even if power is lost.

Field teams benefit from its ability to relaunch loggers in situ with updated timing and logging intervals - a valuable capability when managing repeated or long-term monitoring deployments without returning equipment to the laboratory.

Designed for versatility, the device also doubles as an optic-to-USB base station, enabling direct communication with computers via USB and simplifying data offload workflows without additional hardware. Coupled with its rugged waterproof design, technicians can confidently use the shuttle in wet, muddy, or submerged conditions where typical USB interfaces would fail.
