The 'Design a Coated Pill' kit introduces students to the concept of drug delivery systems. Students design pill coatings that control the release of medicine, giving them hands-on experience in pharmaceutical science and drug formulation. Students use provided materials to formulate a coating for a pill that will withstand the harsh environment of the stomach. Students will test and modify their designs to determine which coating protects the best.
