3 Wire Sonometer
This 3-Wire Sonometer is a perfect way to illustrate the resonance of a wire based on tension and wire diameter.

A spring balance reading to 5N x 100N is fitted to one wire, and the tension exerted and measured can be adjusted by a wing-nut. Another wire passes over a pulley and can be loaded as desired. A third wire is provided for comparison. Its tension may be adjusted by a wrest pin.
The wires are made of steel to avoid rust. The distance between the fixed bridges is 720 mm.
Accessories information: Replacement steel wires are available separately.
Ordering information: This kit includes three movable bridges, a wrest-pin key and a set of four 1.5 m long wires. The SWG sizes are 20, 22, 24, and 26 without weights. A hooked mass set is required but not included.
