Specimens illustrate important stages of mineral formation.

Samples included in the collection are representative of Bowen's Reaction Series, from both the continuous and discontinuous branches of minerals formed from the cooling of magma. This set is housed in a compartmented collection box. A chart detailing the reaction series and an identifrication list is included.
