Leybold Chemistry Experiments.
- Observe and understand light spectra
- Recognize connection between absorption, reflection and transmission
- Appreciate color as light of characteristic wavelengths
- Identify the interaction of light with colored liquids
In experiment C22.214.171.124, the solution of a dye is exposed to the light from a lamp. For the absorption spectrum, the light passing through the colored solution is recorded with a spectrometer. The absorption spectrum is compared with the continuous spectrum of the light from the lamp.
