Lesson Plan Submission Criteria
Each lesson plan must be/contain:
- Connection to the topic area from the list provided (choose from list below).
- Appropriate for students in grades K-12
- Clear correlation to National Science Standards
- Detailed list of required materials
- Step by step teacher and student instructions
- Ability to be completed by a full class of students
- Attach as a Word Document, additional PDF version optional
Please include your full name, school name, grade level, and subject taught, along with your email address, mailing address and phone number in your submission. School, email address, and phone will be used for internal tracking only, and not used in the customer-facing lesson plan.
Please include the following in your lesson plan, in addition to any other content required for completion of your lesson:
- Lab activity title
- Your name and subject(s) taught
- Recommended grade level
- Science discipline/topics addressed
- National Science Standards Alignment
- Required materials
- (Optional) Suggested Ward's Science materials (list by item number or include URL)
- Full lesson plan details and associated materials (student worksheets, handouts, etc.)

By submitting your activity to Ward's, you grant the irrevocable rights for Ward's to republish the activity on any company owned medium website, catalog, social media sites. Your name and school information will be provided at time of posting. Compensation for submitted activities is a one-time gift certificate award equal to $25 for each qualified activity. Gift certificate payments are distributed on a monthly basis for lesson plans submitted the month prior. A qualified activity includes topic tied to content list provided, grade level, national standards correlation, full materials list, step by step instructions, and ability to be completed by full class of students. All activities and lesson plans submitted must be your own original work, not replications of existing or otherwise owned activities. Ward's Science and each of it's subsidiaries, affiliates and divisions, and its or their respective successors, assigns, officers, directors, shareholders, subcontractors, agents, employees, and representatives (each, an "Indemnified Party") shall be held harmless from and against, and in respect of, any and all actions, claims, suits, judgments, damages, liabilities, losses, penalties, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys' fees) of every kind whatsoever (collectively, "Damages").
