The iworx® physiological recording system is high quality and easy to use. The base kit allows you to perform more than 40 experiments, and 100 exercises with the expertly written activates contained in the LabScribe software. Each activity walks the students through equipment setup, probe attachment and data collection. The base unit can then be expanded using additional sensors in the expansion kits. Each Expansion kit extends the amount of experiments and exercises you can perform in class.
The Base Kit includes the control module with built-in Spirometer, heart sounds sensor, Grip force/Blood Pressure sensor, Temperature Sensor, LabScribe software, ECG /EMG recording module, Hand Dynamometer, Event Marker, Pulse Plethysmograph, temperature probe, blood pressure cuff, stimulator cable, recording leads, and disposable electrodes. These basic tools allow you to perform over 40 activities included in the software package, on topics like Human circulation, spirometry, The human nerve; Exercise, the heart, and psychophysiology.
The number of activities can be expanded using the expansion kits. The animal kit gives you 9 more probes and cables of studying small animal physiology and allowing you to use 20 more prebuilt activities. The Psychology bundle gives you 5 more probes, 13 more activities, and a chance to show students how physiology reacts to psychological stress. The exercise physiology set is available with or without calibration gases, and allows you to measure gas differentials during exercise. Finally the General Bio set gives you 3 more probes and a respiration chamber, allowing for generalized recordings of plant and animal specimens.
