Electron Deflection Tube Demonstration Series
Highly evacuated electron tube with focusing electron gun and fluorescent screen inclined relative to the beam axis, so that the path of the beam can be seen and the effects of electric and magnetic fields can be studied. The electron beam can be deflected electrically in the electric field of the built-in plate capacitor, and magnetically by using the Helmholtz coil pair (not included). By adjusting the electric field so that it cancels the magnetic deflection, it is possible to determine the specific charge (e/m) and the velocity of the electrons.

High Voltage Power Supply 5000 V
Universally applicable, floating, high-voltage power supply with built-in, high voltage resistant transformer to supply the heater voltage for electron tubes. Continuously adjustable high voltage, safe to touch, with passive current limitation and analog voltage display. Unit poles can be connected to protected earth, but it is not center tapped.

Pair of Helmholtz coils
Helmholtz coils are used to produce a homogeneous magnetic field. Experiments on induction and electron deflection can be performed with the Rotary Frame with Flat Coil and the Fine Beam Tube. The coils can be used in parallel or in series and feature a spring clip on the cross bar to mount a Hall Sensor for measurements of the magnetic field. The maximum field strength generated by the coils (~ 4 mT) is approximately 750 times weaker than that produced by an MRI machine (~ 3T), which are known to be safe for use by people with medical implants such as pacemakers.

Boyle's Law
This apparatus is used to Verifying the Boyle’s law when air is decompressed and compressed. A horizontally mounted acrylic tube having a graduated scale (0- 300cm3) along one side. A gas tap closes the tube. Pressure gauge is present next to gas tap. By changing the position of rubber stopper, the effective length of the tube can be selected. The scale measures volume and pressure by means of pressure gauze. Boyle’s law is investigated by changing position of the stopper.
