Anti-BSG Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: CDLA147]
Supplier: Prosci
Basigin (BSG) also known as extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer (EMMPRIN) or cluster of differentiation 147 (CD147) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BSG gene. This protein is a determinant for the Ok blood group system. Basigin has been shown to be an essential receptor on red blood cells for the human malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. It has a variety of functions. In addition to its metalloproteinase-inducing ability, basigin also regulates several distinct functions, such as spermatogenesis, expression of the monocarboxylate transporter and the responsiveness of lymphocytes. CD147 is a type I integral membrane receptor that has many ligands, including the cyclophilin (CyP) proteins Cyp-A and CyP-B and certain integrins. It is expressed by many cell types, including epithelial cells, endothelial cells and leukocytes. [Wiki]

Anti-EPHB2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
EphrinB proteins are thought to play key roles in cellular functions as diverse as neuronal migration and blood vessel development (Flanagan and Vanderhaeghen, 1998; Dufour et al., 2003; Oike et al., 2002). EphrinB molecules expressed at the membrane surface bind to the EphB family receptors on target cells during cell-to cell contact. This interaction leads to cell signaling in the target cell but also generates a reverse signal in the cell expressing EphrinB on its surface. This reverse signaling event is thought to be critical for vessel maturation and neuronal development. Importantly, tyrosine phosphorylation of EphrinB is thought to be a critical component of this reverse signaling event (Palmer et al., 2002). Recent work demonstrated that Tyr331 of EphrinB was phosphorylated in HEK293 cells after stimulation by the soluble EphB2 receptor tyrosine kinase (Kalo et al., 2001).

Anti-UBE2N Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme 13 (Ubc13) was initially discovered in S. cerevisiae as a DNA-damage inducible protein involved in the error-free DNA postreplication repair pathway. It has recently been shown to be an important component of the Toll-like receptor and IL-1R signaling pathway. Signals from these pathways are relayed by a number of downstream molecules such as MyD88 and tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor (TRAF6), ultimately activating various kinases and transcription factors. Ubc13 is part of a dimeric ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme complex also containing UEV1A (ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 1) that together with TRAF6 activates TAK1, a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase family. The Ubc13-UEV1A complex also mediates the Lys-63 ubiquitination of TRAF-6, and this ubiquitination is essential for TAK1 activation.

Anti-RHEB Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Rheb (Ras homolog enriched in brain) is an evolutionarily conserved member of the Ras family of small GTP-binding proteins originally found to be rapidly induced by synaptic activity in the hippocampus following seizure. While it is expressed at relatively high levels in the brain, Rheb is widely expressed in other tissues and may be induced by growth factor stimulation. Similar to other family members, Rheb triggers activation of the Raf-MEK-MAPK pathway. Biochemical and genetic studies demonstrate that Rheb has an important role in regulating the insulin/Target of rapamycin (TOR) signaling pathway. TOR is a serine/threonine protein kinase that acts as a sensor for ATP and amino acids, balancing the availability of nutrients with protein translation and cell growth. A dimeric protein complex termed TSC1/TSC2 indirectly inhibits TOR activity by inhibiting Rheb via the GAP activity of TSC2.

Anti-SNAI2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Slug antibody dectects human Slug protein. Slug, a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors, was initially identified to be involved in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions as well as the formation of the neural tube during vertebrate embryogenesis. Like Snail, Slug transcription can be induced by growth factors such as FGF, BMP, and TGF-beta. Once expressed, Slug will bind E-box regions of promoters and repress transcription of genes such as E-cadherin and Claudin-. More recently, its expression in breast, esophogeal, and colorectal carcinomas has been correlated with poor prognosis for survival. Furthermore, Slug can protect hemapoietic progenitor cells from radiation-induced apoptosis by repressing the p53-mediated transcription of Puma, a BH3-only antagonist of the anti-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family. Slug antibody has no cross-reactivity to Snail protein. Anti-Slug antibodies are ideal for investigators involved in transcription factors, cell cycle proteins and cancer research.

Anti-ERN1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Accumulation of malfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) activates the unfolded protein response (UPR) and the upregulation of the ER molecular chaperones GRP78 and GRP 94. These proteins are normally bound to ER transmembrane proteins such as IRE1p and ATF6 but ER stress causes their dissociation. This allows IRE1p, a serine-threonine protein kinase to transduce the unfolded protein signal from the ER to the nucleus. IRE1p also has an endoribonuclease activity that is required to splice X-box binding protein (XBP1) mRNA converting it to a potent UPR transcriptional activation. Depletion of IRE1p through the expression of a dominant negative form of IRE1p has no effect on transfected cells, but cell death via apoptosis occurs under stress conditions that cause unfolded proteins to accumulate in the ER. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Mouse Adiponectin (Trimeric Form) (from HEK293 cells)
Supplier: BioVendor
Adiponectin, also referred to as Acrp30, AdipoQ and GBP-28, is a recently discovered 244 aminoacid protein, the product of the apM1 gene, which is physiologically active and specifically and highly expressed in adipose cells. The protein belongs to the soluble defence collagen superfamily; it has a collagen-like domain structurally homologous with collagen VIII and X and complement factor C1q-like globular domain. Adiponectin forms homotrimers, which are the building blocks for higher order complexes found circulating in serum. Together, these complexes make up approximately 0.01% of total serum protein. Adiponectin receptors AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 have been recently cloned; AdipoR1 is abundantly expressed in skeletal muscle, whereas AdipoR2 is predominantly expressed in the liver. Paradoxically, adipose tissue-expressed adiponectin levels are inversely related to the degree of adiposity. Adiponectin concentrations correlate negatively with glucose, insulin, triglyceride concentrations, liver fat content and body mass index and positively with high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol levels, hepatic insulin sensitivity and insulin-stimulated glucose disposal.

Anti-TPH2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) catalyzes the 5-hydroxylation of tryptophan, which is the first step in the biosynthesis of indoleamines (serotonin and melatonin) (Martinez et al., 2001). In mammals, serotonin biosynthesis occurs predominantly in neurons which originate in the Raphe nuclei of the brain, and melatonin synthesis takes place within the pineal gland. Although TPH catalyzes the same reaction within the Raphe nuclei and the pineal gland, TPH activity is rate-limiting for serotonin but not melatonin biosynthesis. Serotonin functions mainly as a neurotransmitter, whereas melatonin is the principal hormone secreted by the pineal gland. The activity of TPH is enhanced by phosphorylation by cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and Ca2+/calmodulin kinase II (CaM K II) (Jiang et al., 2000; Johansen et al., 1996). CaM K II phosphorylates Ser19 which lies within the regulatory domain of TPH2 (McKinney et

Human Recombinant IL12 (from CHO cells)
Supplier: Prosci
Interleukin-12 (IL-12), also known as Natural Killer Cell Stimulatory Factor (NKSF) or Cytotoxic Lymphocyte Maturation Factor (CLMF), is a heterodimeric pleiotropic cytokine made up of a 40 kDa (p40) subunit and a 35 kDa (p35) subunit. IL-12 is produced by macrophages and B lymphocytes and has been shown to have multiple effects on T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells. Some of these IL-12 activities include the induction of IFN-gamma and TNF in resting and activated T and NK cells; the enhancement of cytotoxic activity of resting NK and T cells, the stimulation of resting T cell proliferation in the presence of a comitogen; and the enhancement of NK cell proliferation. Current evidence indicates that IL-12 is a key mediator of cellular immunity and induces the differentiation of Th1 cells from precursor T helper cells. Based on its activities, it has been suggested that IL-12 may have therapeutic potential as a vaccine adjuvant that promotes cellular immunity and as an antitumor and anti viral agent.

Anti-NANOS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Nanos is a zinc-finger containing, RNA-binding protein that has been implicated in germ cell development in both invertebrates and vertebrates. In Drosophila, Nanos represses apoptosis during development to ensure proper germ-line development. Unlike Nanos1 whose expression in mice is dispensable, the Nanos2 and Nanos3 proteins are required for germ cell development. Nanos2-null primordial germ cells (PGCs) die only in the male gonads and show no defects in females, while Nanos3-null PGCs are lost during the migration stage regardless of sex. Nanos2 and Nanos3 have distinct expression patterns during embryo development, suggesting that these two proteins do not have redundant functions. However, expression of Nanos2 can at least partially replace Nanos3 function in a Nanos3-null background. Nanos3 expression can not rescue Nanos2-null defects. This Nanos2 antibody will not cross-react with either Nanos 1 or Nanos3.

Anti-IKBKAP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
IKAP was initially identified as a scaffold protein of the IkB kinase complex that could bind to IKKa, IKKb, NF-kB, and the NF-kB-inducing kinase (NIK), although later evidence has cast doubt on this. More recent reports show that mutations in IKAP such as a frameshift leading to a truncated protein or a missense mutation that leads to defective phosphorylation are responsible for the autosomal recessive genetic disease familial dysautonomia (FD). Reports indicating that it forms part of the RNA polymerase II transcription elongation complex suggest that this disease may be due to compromised transcription elongation. More recently, it was shown that IKAP associates with c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and could specifically enhance JNK activation induced by the upstream JNK activators MEKK1 and ASK1, indicating another possible cause for FD. At least two isoforms of IKAP are known two exist.
