"physics kits"
Harbottle
Excellent teaching tool for introducing pressure and discussing its applications such as vacuum cleaners, flight, pumps, weather, and even how we breathe.
United Scientific® Building and Designing Batteries STEM Kit
Students assemble electrical circuits and construct batteries with this kit.
Jr. Engineering Box: Pulleys and Gears
Add some student imagination and easily gathered items and students can start investigating pulleys and gears.
ENG Box Wheels
Add some student imagination and easily gathered items and students can start investigating wheeled vehicles.
Four in One Hydraulic Kit
The Four-in One-Hydraulic Kit can carry things like a glass of milk, toys, and other fun items.
KidWind® Advanced Wind Experiment Kit
All you need to add is a wind source, basic tools, and imagination!
KidWind® Advanced Wind Turbine Nacelle
This kit enables a number of advanced experiments, especially with GENPack generator module. Try different gear ratios, blade designs, generators, and more, in a creative, hands-on inquiry into wind energy science. This nacelle also converts for conducting weightlifting experiments, making it a great option for studying mechanical and electrical energy.
KidWind® Wind Turbine Generator and Accessories
Bulk balsa, chipboard sheets, and dowels for blade making in the classroom.
KidWind® Basic Turbine Building Part
Educational Materials, Alternative Energy, Application: Physics, KidWind basic turbine building parts
KidWind® GENPack
The GENPack allows students to construct their own electrical generator and perform experiments with electricity and magnetism. Changing variables in the generator design will impact current and voltage output. The GENPack is perfect for physics and electrical students exploring Faraday’s law, induction, AC/DC electricity production, and energy transformations. We recommend this kit for advanced middle school students and older.
KidWind® Solar Thermal Exploration Kit
The Solar Thermal Exploration Kit is modeled after a domestic solar water-heating system. Explore variables such as box color, light intensity, tube design, rate of water pumping, and amount of time it takes to heat the water. Learn about what makes a solar water heating system more or less efficient.
KidWind® Tower and Base Set
Need a tower for your turbine nacelle? This is the same tower that comes in the Basic Wind Experiment Kit and the Advanced Wind Experiment Kit. The wooden tower has a diameter that fits inside 1-inch PVC fittings.
Free Fall Apparatus ‘g’ Economy with Timer
The determination of the gravitational constant ‘g’ is one of the most fundamental and early physical constants students must derive and observe. This kit has a wooden base, 1.1m rod and a movable electromagnet. The electromagnet can be moved anywhere on the rod and is powered by the timer. When the ball is released, the timer is triggered and stopped once the ball has landed on the base for a precise measurement and then calculation of ‘g’. Supplied with manual.
