Set of apparatus for carrying out 10 basic student experiments on radioactivity. In a robust Gratnell tray with foam inserts molded to the shapes of the items and a transparent lid. Includes a CD with instructions for the experiments. The experiments are designed to occupy as little space as possible on the supplied base plate, while remaining clear and easy to perform. To determine the count rates, it is recommended that a Geiger counter be used (not included).

This working model thermostat will demonstrate how differential expansion is used to control temperature. A bimetallic strip is used to open or close an electric circuit when temperature changes. The contacts will carry about three amperes. The unit can be operated with a 6 V lantern battery, low voltage power supply, or a blow dryer. Mounted on a metal base; approximately 15 cm high.

Basic apparatus for providing contact, power supply and support to a germanium crystal on a circuit board in experiments on the Hall effect or on conductivity. Includes an integrated, adjustable constant current source to provide the current through the sample, a measuring amplifier with offset compensation for Hall voltages and heating to raise the crystal to as high as 170 °C, also featuring temperature regulation and a switchable display showing Hall voltage, sample current, sample voltage or temperature.

A set of dynamic cart trolleys are used for investigation on momentum, velocity and acceleration. Each trolley consists of two rectangular wooden blocks, 300 mm long, moving on three low friction wheels (ball bearings in wheels). The trolley is fitted with spring loaded impulse rod. It has a provision for stacking the trolleys on top of each other with removable pins. It is supplied with two rubber corks and 2 needles, so trolleys may be stuck together for inelastic collisions. A striking pin for releasing the striker and 3 pins or dowels for stacking are provided. One trolley weight approximately 1 kg.
