Deluxe Hydraulic Class Pack
This easy-to-build hydraulic arm demonstrates the power of fluid dynamics.
Four in One Hydraulic Kit
The Four-in One-Hydraulic Kit can carry things like a glass of milk, toys, and other fun items.
KidWind® Advanced Wind Experiment Kit
All you need to add is a wind source, basic tools, and imagination!
KidWind® Advanced Wind Turbine Nacelle
This kit enables a number of advanced experiments, especially with GENPack generator module. Try different gear ratios, blade designs, generators, and more, in a creative, hands-on inquiry into wind energy science. This nacelle also converts for conducting weightlifting experiments, making it a great option for studying mechanical and electrical energy.
KidWind® Balsa Blade Sheets
Balsa wood is very lightweight and stiff, and it is perfect for making experimental wind turbine blades.
KidWind® Blade Pitch Protractor
KidWind blade pitch protractor, incredibly helpful for measuring the blade pitch angle on your KidWind turbine.
KidWind® Basic Turbine Building Part
Educational Materials, Alternative Energy, Application: Physics, KidWind basic turbine building parts
KidWind® Chipboard Sheets
Chipboard is a stiff, easy to cut, lightweight, low cost, and recyclable material used to make simple wind turbine blades.
KidWind® Dowels
These dowels are used for designing and testing wind turbine blades and fit into the Wind Turbine Hub.
KidWind® Gear Set with Spool
Experiment with gear ratios on your wind turbine or other small projects. Adding gears to your turbine can greatly increase the generator RPM, giving you higher power output. The small 8-tooth gear fits on 2 mm driveshafts that are found on many DC generators. The gears have a keying feature that allows them to be changed quickly and easily using the included hex locks. The hex lock secures to our 9/64 inch hex-driveshaft. Hex-driveshaft not included.
KidWind® GENPack
The GENPack allows students to construct their own electrical generator and perform experiments with electricity and magnetism. Changing variables in the generator design will impact current and voltage output. The GENPack is perfect for physics and electrical students exploring Faraday’s law, induction, AC/DC electricity production, and energy transformations. We recommend this kit for advanced middle school students and older.
KidWind® Motor Mount Assembly
The KidWind Motor Mount Pack holds the motor (generator) in place when affixed to the wind turbine nacelle. The Motor Mount Pack can be used to replace lost parts from a nacelle. It can also be used to mount a nacelle to the tower for a vertical axis wind turbine configuration.
KidWind® Nacelle
Build a complete turbine by making your own tower and base with PVC pipe (from a hardware store) or use the KidWind Tower and Base Set. You will also need a generator and a way to affix the turbine blades. We recommend using the KidWind Wind Turbine Generator with Wires and a KidWind Hub.
KidWind simpleGEN AC Generator
The simpleGEN is an easy-to-build AC generator that allows students to explore the basics of electrical generator design. With the simpleGEN, you can demonstrate Faraday’s law, light LEDs, and perform experiments that explore how coils, magnets, and rotation affect electrical generation. With some quick modifications, you will be able to convert your generator to a simple motor and explore additional variables. You can also take your experiments to the next level by converting your simpleGEN into a wind turbine nacelle.
