Anti-C1QTNF7 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Adipose tissue of an organism plays a major role in regulating physiologic and pathologic processes such as metabolism and immunity by producing and secreting a variety of bioactive molecules termed adipokines. One highly conserved family of adipokines is adiponectin/ACRP30 and its structural and functional paralogs, the C1q/tumor necrosis factor-alpha-related proteins (CTRPs) 1-7. Unlike adiponectin, which is expressed exclusively by differentiated adipocytes, the CTRPs are expressed in a wide variety of tissues. These proteins are thought to act mainly on liver and muscle tissue to control glucose and lipid metabolism. An analysis of the crystal structure of adiponectin revealed a structural and evolutionary link between TNF and C1q-containing proteins, suggesting that these proteins arose from a common ancestral innate immunity gene. Like the other members of the adiponectin and CTRP protein family, the mature CTRP7 is secreted and can be found in the organism's circulatory system.

Anti-ATOH8 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors play important roles in differentiation processes during embryonic development of vertebrates. ATOH8 (MATH6) is a tissue-restricted member of the atonal superfamily of bHLH transcription factors that exhibits 43-57% identity in the bHLH domain with other mammalian atonal paralogs including the NeuroD and Neurogenin factors. In the mouse, ATOH8 has been implicated in the specification and differentiation of neuronal cell lineages in the brain and may also participate in kidney development. Recent studies show that ATOH8 is a novel component of the pancreatic transcriptional network during embryonic development and suggest a potential role as a modulator of the differentiation program initiated by the pro-endocrine factor Neurog3. It is indispensable for early embryonic development, suggesting a more widespread function for this factor in tissue-specific differentiation processes that are dependent on class II bHLH genes.

Adipose tissue of an organism plays a major role in regulating physiologic and pathologic processes such as metabolism and immunity by producing and secreting a variety of bioactive molecules termed adipokines. An analysis of the crystal structure of adiponectin revealed a structural and evolutionary link between TNF and C1q-containing proteins, suggesting that these proteins arose from a common ancestral innate immunity gene. CTRP6 contains at least 4 glycosylation motifs, suggesting that CTRP6 may be highly post-translationally modified.

Anti-GPX1 Sheep Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Biosensis
Glutathione peroxidase 1 has a role in detoxification of hydrogen peroxide and is one of the most important antioxidant enzymes in humans. It exists as a homotetramer which localises to the cytoplasm. It belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family. Glutathione peroxidase 1 is one of few proteins in higher vertebrates to contain selenocysteine, which occurs at the active site of glutathione peroxidase and is coded by UGA, that normally functions as a translation termination codon. This protein has a polyalanine sequence polymorphism in the N-terminal region, which includes three alleles with five, six or seven alanine repeats. The allele with five alanine repeats is significantly associated with breast cancer risk. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been identified.

Anti-GDF6 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Growth differentiation factors (GDFs) are members of the transforming growth factor (TGF) superfamily that is involved in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis. Both GDF6 and GDF7 are closely related to GDF5 which has been shown to induce activation of plasminogen activator, thereby inducing angiogenesis. It is predominantly expressed in long bones during fetal embryonic development and is involved in bone formation. In Xenopus, GDF6 is expressed at the edge of the neural plate and within the anterior neural plate including the eye fields. GDF6 is required for normal formation of some bones and joints in the limbs, skull, and axial skeleton. It may regulate patterning of the ectoderm by interacting with bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), and control eye development. Mutations in this gene result in colobomata, which are congenital abnormalities in ocular development, and in Klippel-Feil syndrome (KFS), a congenital disorder of spinal segmentation.

Anti-ARL15 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) are highly conserved guanine nucleotide binding proteins that enhance the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of cholera toxin. ARFs are important in eukaryotic vesicular trafficking pathways and they play an essential role in the activation of phospholipase D (PC-PLD). ARL15 (ADP-ribosylation factor-like 15), is a member of the ARF family of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases that are known to be involved in multiple regulatory pathways altered in human carcinogenesis. Other members of this protein family include ARL11, thought to be a tumor suppressor and may play a role in the regulation of apoptosis, ARL2 which plays an important role in microtubule dynamics and cell cycle progression, and ARL4, which may play a role in neurogenesis during embryonic development. The gene encoding ARL15 maps to chromosome 5p15 in humans. At least three isoforms of ARL15 are known to exist.
