Electricity/Magnetism Learning Activities
Avantor offers a complete catalogue of instruments and tools useful for demonstrating key, basic concepts of physics that are applicable to everyday life both in and out of the laboratory. Demonstrate core ideas such as acceleration down a plane, friction, potential and kinetic energy, electrical conductivity, magnetic fields, wavelengths and velocity of sound, and more. Durable educational materials are designed for heavy use with consistent levels of handling, and all models are easy to use.

The Stirling Design External Combustion Engine
Demonstrate the Stirling Design External Combustion Engine with our 18×11 cm working model. The Stirling engine currently is being re-examined as a practical source of power because of its adaptability to almost any fuel. First produced in the 1800’s as a non-electric fan and an automatic hot air water pump, the engine soon became obsolete due to its lack of sufficient power when compared to the newly developed combustion engine. Any fuel can be used with our model, but denatured alcohol is suggested for clean operation.
