This life-size model of the female human right breast shows the superficial contours on the left half whilst the right half has been sectioned to various depths. In the upper right quarter the superficial tissue has been removed, showing the underlying fat layer and lymphatic vessels. In the lower right quarter, the fat has been removed revealing the milk glands, lactiferous ducts and sinuses.

The supportive ligaments and connective tissue are clearly shown, together with the relative muscles and ribs.
