Cannulas for the Interlink® Needleless IV Access System, BD Medical
Product Details & Documents
The Interlink® system replaces steel needles with plastic cannulas and split septum access ports
The blunt plastic cannula features dual side ports for greater fluid dispersion and a center-point design with a tapered tip for less resistance during insertion. Compatible with all needless access systems, it is available individually or pre-attached to 17-gague BD™ syringes. The vial access cannula has a blue spike used to provide needleless access of a single-dose vial. It is not compatible with conventional injection sites, and is available individually or pre-attached to a 3mL BD™ syringe. The threaded lock cannula is a streamlined locking cannula for IV connection to the injection site. The BD Twinpak™ device features two cannulas in one shield: one red hub steel cannula for syringe filling and one clear, blunt plastic cannula for safe split-septum access.
The result is an easy-to-use, flexible and comprehensive needleless system for IV therapy, vial access, blood draws, and drug delivery
