How is AIDS transmitted? Are your students listening to the message? This HIV Simulation Lab, developed by biology teacher Ruth Ann Parham, will definitely catch their attention.

  • Grades 7 to 12

Using simple pH changes and indicators, it provides students with an effective demonstration on how the AIDS virus is transmitted via body fluids. Students trace the transmission to determine the originator of the disease. The lab can be conducted in one class period, or you can use it as the cornerstone of your AIDS study unit.

Delivery information: Includes materials for 60 students and a teacher’s guide with student worksheets.
