Amazing Waves Kit

With everyday materials, students will build a simple wave machine and complete a series of simulations. They will construct 4 wavecoastline environments to identify, compare, and specify the relationship of waves. The class will then divide into four large groups representing local government officials, informed citizens, an environmental group, and land developers.

• Duration: three class periods, plus research time
• Materials for six student groups

All will do research for their group presentation at a 'town meeting' concerning a proposed new resort.
