Map reading and understanding of elevation, contours, map symbols, scale, latitude and longitude, and direction may be taught through the use of this 3-D model. Mark to show contours and relationships with other classroom maps. A series of imprinted and plain clear plastic contour sheets stack to show how landforms are represented on a flat map. Set includes plastic terrain model (10H x 10W x 2"D), five marked and five unmarked contour sheets, a grease pencil, a wall map and 50 student project maps, an illustrated study guide with numerous demonstrations, and student projects.
