A clear plastic frame holds three different connecting wire set ups: a straight wire, a single loop, and a solenoid. The thick wires allow users to pass through higher currents (1 A) than thinner wires, creating a more noticeable induced magnetic field. A perfect way to demonstrate how a magnetic field is produced, and an easy way to introduce the hand rules for magnetic fields. The kit also includes one large and two small compasses. For an overhead projector, a clear compass is required but not included. Also required but not included is a power supply.
