CitriSolv® Hybrid is the same as the dlimonene based solvent CitriSolv® but contains a mild, non-toxic, additive that enhances the flash point.
Safe alternative to xylene and ethyl acetate
- Will not harden or shrink tissue
- Biodegradable and non-corrosive
- Does not contain benzene and has low levels of toxicity
The higher flashpoint results in classifying the spent CitriSolv® Hybrid as non-hazardous waste. The CitriSolv® Hybrid can be used as a safe alternative to xylene and ethyl acetate. It is soluble with absolute alcohol and will dissolve paraffin, glues, adhesives, and mounting media. It will not harden or shrink tissue. CitriSolv® Hybrid is biodegradable, non-corrosive, with a low evaporation rate, and combustible (flashpoint is 145° F). It does not contain benzene and has low levels of toxicity.
