CA membranes have some protein binding and extractables, making them more suitable for clarification of buffers, aqueous solutions and reagents. CA syringe filters have a red housing ring. All housings are polypropylene with female Luer-Lok®inlet and male Luer slip outlet.

SFCA membranes are low protein binding and have lower extractables than standard CA so SFCA is a good choice for cell culture fluids and cellular solutions.
