Puritan's Media Transport Systems | Avantor

Labs are using transport and enrichment media more than ever to aid the recovery and detection of pathogens after collection. Puritan has recognized this trend and has stepped up to the cutting edge with a line of liquid-based media offerings. These products make cultivating clinical specimens easier for the hardworking nurses, microbiologists, and other healthcare workers collecting and processing samples.

Puritan's liquid-based media are available in 2ml and 5ml fill vials. UniTranz-RT® (Universal transport media) is used to test for viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasma, and ureaplasma specimens at room temperature (RT) or long-term freezer storage.

Puritan’s Opti-Swab® Modified Liquid Amies transport medium maintains viability of aerobic, anaerobic and fastidious bacteria. Their media transport systems combined with high performing swabs create the ideal product for specimen collection and transport.
