Heating Mantles

When handling organic liquid samples, the heating mantles are alternatives to Bunsen burners and hotplates. In contrast to other heating devices, glassware containers may be placed in direct contact with the heating mantle without the risk of glassware shattering. While fabric constructed styles can be molded to accommodate a wide variety of flask shapes and sizes, the rigid heating mantles are less susceptible to spill or tearing damage.
