Coleus sp. Dicot. With red and green variegated leaves, it is native to the tropics and warmer temperate regions. You can use these plants for vegetative reproduction studies, plant growth experiments using hormones, and other investigations. It is supplied in a pot with care instructions. Size: 5–8".

Four to six adults of each sex (including virgin females) have been carefully selected for the parent generation. Larvae will be visible within a week of receipt. Please order 7-10 days in advance.

To ship Drosophila cultures with living larvae we require 10 days' notice prior to use date. During very cold weather, adult flies may die but eggs and larvae usually survive. Each culture shipment is prepared in our laboratories and includes the "Working with Algae & Cyanobacteria" manual which contains detailed instructions for subculturing and use.

Our cultures undergo strict biochemical screening and are unconditionally guaranteed for species and purity. Each culture is labeled with scientific name, media on which it was cultivated and optimum growth temperature. Although our cultures are considered non-pathogenic, standard bacteriological laboratory procedures should be used at all times. Cultures are available either live for immediate use or freeze-dried for convenient storage until needed.
