It consists of three rugged, sealed, and transparent plastic tubes containing colored fluids of three different viscosities. The bubble in each tube rises at a constant speed, depending on the type of fluid, the angle at which the tube is inclined, and the temperature.

Students track the time it takes for an air bubble to move from the bottom to the top of the different-colored tubes. Instructions are included.
