The Genecon Hand Electric Generator is a useful tool for lessons on electricity and magnetism. This 6V DC generator can deliver up to 400mA current.
Where does “lost” energy go? This hand operated generator will let you demonstrate the Second Law of Thermodynamics, and conduct dozens of other experiments.
You can teach the concepts of polarity, electromagnetism, electrolysis, and how to measure “work.” The Genecon has a power output of 6 volts, and comes with a polarity coded plug-in lead with alligator clips, (the polarity can be reversed by changing rotation of the hand crank). The clear plastic housing allows students to watch the coils, terminals, and gears.
Measurements are approximately 14 cm x 11 cm x 4 cm.
The manual, Adventures with the Genecon, lists 24 different experiments, each with key concepts and teaching tips.
