Neutralizing Acids Lab Activity |

A common antacid illustrates an important lesson on acid neutralization. Using a PASPORT pH sensor to observe the effect of antacid on HCl, students can verify their predictions about the effect of crushed vs. whole antacid tablets on the rate of pH change. This activity can be completed in one 50-minute lab sessions. Includes materials for eight setups, a teacher’s guide, and student copymasters. The lab requires one pH sensor and one USB Link or Xplorer Datalogger interface per setup, all available separately.
